ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SONGS FROM 1974 (ALSO LIKED "THE NIGHT CHICAGO DIED" AND "THE BLACK EYED BOYS") I FIND THE FINAL LINES OF THE SONG QUITE SAD WHEN IT SAID "SHE THREW THE LETTER AWAY!" (AFTER RECEIVING A LETTER SAYING HOW BILLY HAD DIED A HERO - SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN GLAD HE DIED THAT WAY)
Daft fucking homo Brittles have always felt it their right to be social commentators on all things American. I wonder if Paper Lace (is there a more faggoty name for an all male band?) are doing doing social commentary songs about niggers and Pakis shanking OAPs and burning down Tottenham and Brixton? They're all probably already dead from AIDS.
An all time classic pop song ... classic verse/bridge/chorus structure, with the "double" chorus magnifying the "catchiness" of this song ... No doubt why it sold millions and millions!
@MyBelch Have you tried the latest anti-psychotic drugs?
