From his 1997 album "Live at the Old Absinthe House Bar: Friday Night." Blues master Bryan Lee's live show was never documented until this, which also features explosive playing from Kenny Wayne Shepherd (whom Lee mentored before his stardom) and Frank Marino.

I'm using You Tube to check out the bands playing at the "Blues & Views Barbecue Festival" in Westport CT 's this weekend, ... and this band sounds well worth a listen. I have listened to 3-4 songs so far (with harmonica in hand, of course) and they are very good, tight and soulful. Looking forward to seeing them live :) -- JD ...of the Jim Dandy Blues Crew :)

I was working there the night they recorded this, had worked there for 8 years.Working there was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The music would fill me up each and every night. The slate floors, the honduran mahogony bar, the pitted Abisinthe fountains, the rats, roaches and dollar bills stapled to the walls. I miss the girls that worked there and I miss the music.....however I dont miss the owner....bassturd!.....and now its a frigging daquiri shop!

@TheShadomere I hear ya...loved that place...Big Luther was a friend...moved away 10 years, when I got back and saw the daiquiri shop, got sick to my stomach...sure we crossed paths if you were there that long...fond memories for sure
