He is in training for Schutzhund. I leave the line loose sometimes, in case I need to pick it up to call him back from something interesting.

shouldn't let your dog jump up, just incase a little child went near it.
it would knock a child flying.

Of course not, my dogs only meet children with full supervision. Weirdly enough, they act totally different with children to adults. They all adore kids and sit patiently to be kissed and cuddled.
