  • Interesting, thanks for posting. Never heard this Garnett original. Love Skeeter on the verses, sweet and effortless. A few chorus harmony arrangements are under par (kinda sounds like a kid's song) but all in all, not bad. Skeeter is always a winner and the more countrified version of this song is, well, best done by 60's country master like Skeeter. Thanks for the interesting listen.

  • To our Tori girl daddy picked this song for your tribute but the only appropriate words are we sang in the sunshine we laughed in the rain and we did everyday, because we always loved you, always will as long as we live you will be alive in our hearts. As your daddy says you were not a dog but a little person. This is the hardest thing we have ever gone thru. We love you girlie girl. Daddy, mommy , Natalie and Louie boy.

  • Now - THIS - is real country music. BTW: real country music died about 1975.

  • Thank you so much! I was born and grew up in Nigeria, and remember listening to this song so many times while I was a kid. Just woke up this morning, and the song kept playing in my head, for some reason. I immediately went on youtube, and voila! I get the special treat of hearing it all over again. This music is truly timeless - and universal. God Bless.

  • I grew up on this music, brought back childhood memories
