She sounds a wee bit out of tune in spots but nice enthusiastic reading of this joyous duet, one of my favorites. You might listen to James Kings' renditions he was a great Florestan.
Generally very good. I wish that she would hit some of the high A's on pitch instead of scooping half an octave up to them -- she could take a lesson from him on this.
Amazing---years ahead of the opera film revolution, Jess Thomas consistently brought words, voice and physical expression all together! What a soulful sound!
@RobNYNY1957 - Agree, about the scoops. The young Birgit Nilsson, 1960 w/Hopf, could hit those high A's REALLY well.

One of the most joyful and at the same time painful duets ever written in opera.

Jess Thomas, you are THE MAN! The greatest Lohengrin and Walter von Stolzing of all time! So nice to see Jess' Florestan too.

She's such an amazing singer - what a voice! Love her! She's a fantastic Sieglinde on the 1952 Bayreuth Die Walkure, conducted by Josef Keilberth.
