To dedicate the opening of the new Randolph College Field and Track complex, five teams representing four residence halls and the faculty/staff, raced 1 lap around the track in homemade "chariots" dressed in traditional Roman togas. The race also served as the culmination of the Hall of Champions competition, sponsored by the Randolph Social Sports Network. Hall of Champions pitted students from the College's residence halls in a semester-long series of challenges ranging from billiards to water balloon dodgeball - not unlike the Hogwarts House Cup in Harry Potter.
