Never. Ever. Use loops. It's so uncreative and it's like someone else is making like 75% of the song for you.

Great tutorial! Thanks a lot. Garageband is so much more intuitive than Cubase...never going back to that crap again .p

@hennafied all loops on garage band are free to use and not copyrighted.

great video..i didn't know what I was doing. I watched this on my daughter's ipad and followed on garageband on my laptop. Could you tell me if I made a song this way to play on one of my videos, would it be my own song or would it be copyrighted...? I'm thinking of making a song for my videos but don't want it to cause a problem with infringement.

Tip: To just hear one track, just click the "headphones" button on it. (:

Great video, best tutorial I've seen! When I become a world famous DJ I'll be sure to give a shout out to you, and your tutorial for showing me the basics!

Why drag the same loop over and over? Just click at upper right corner of first loop and drag out as far as you like.

@pradetzki Ha ha, haven't heard that one before. I guess the logical thing to do would be to go to Hollywood!

Hey do you know how to add to your loop library? I've tried countless times to add new loops to the library to no avail.

@AlmightyArceus Are you talking about third party loops? Find the folder on your computer where they are located. Drag the folder onto Garageband right on top of the Loops Browser. That should do it. Or, if you only have 1 loop to add, just drag that loop onto the Loops Browser. Which version of Garageband are you using? Did this work?
