@DevonHomeBrew Use pale and amber 4:1 for coffee flavour. Doesn't need much hopping and a fruity hop such as Bramling X will work, fuggles maybe.

sounds similar to the SALTAIRE HAZELNUT COFFEE PORTER with a difference the HCP as a taste of CHOCOLATE rather than METAL haha

@nickong796 Im drinking it now and i really do wish i did a 5 gallon batch but also it was only a test extract batch im going to convert it to all grain some time soon. The coffee i used was from france when i went there almost a month ago =)

Nice one..was that partial or all grain brew?? can't wait to do a porter...big fan of the dark fizzy stuff.

@whatsbrewinguk It was a partial with black malt crystal malt and porridge oats roasted for 30 mins at gas mark 4, 180 oc with 500g light malt extract and target hops
