you don't have the right to judge us, the filipinos. Who are you anyway? you are just a good for nothing garbage. You are not God to judge people. Yeah some filipinos are corrupt, hungry and declining but we try our best to help them. We care for each others. And yeah you're right maybe it's not too late. Just wait and someday we can prove to you guys that we are not insults to our former generation.

@southCSA you dont know nothing...yeah they fought spanish and japanese colony but after that americans want to own our country...thats why we fight back against americans, until americans realize that we always share our bloods to protect and to fight for freedom to our beloved mother land!!! From the time I was a child, I always wondered why no one in America talked about the Philippine-American war. The one place I heard about it? From Mark Twain's writings. The fact that no one here remembers that horrible occupation(probably being overshadowed by Japanese occupation memories) really reflects how ridiculous our inability to learn from past mistakes is, as opposed to our ability to keep REPEATING past mistakes.

An Afghani guy is making fun of Filipinos... he must talk about his own country first and then talk about other countries!

lionheart3277 Do you think by watching a 3 min clip gives you authority to criticize the people of the Philippines? It's people like you who know shit about other cultures that really annoys me. Where are your roots ? Afghanistan I see well perhaps you should look in your own back yard and fix the problems there before you start throwing critisism at others.

come on now. Filipinos still wish they were slaves of america. For instance why is it filipinos in hawaii rather be considered hawaiian than filipino? What about the lie "im not asian, im a pacific islander!!" This is just denial of ASIAN heritage and an excuse to sound more exotic to Americans. If we are islanders, I never hearD about filipino beach culture. My favorite one is Taglish. The worst style of grammar in english and tagalog. It's supported by the media and the education.

Everything you jsut stated could be summed up in 1 word: "Colonialization". After 400+ yrs, weve developed a colonial mentality in which we consiously and unconsiously put down anything Filipino. But as for the Asian issue, colonial opression and education has left us with ever-growing identity crisis, esp if you live in the US.

After US Admiral Dewey gained Aguinaldo' trust, he conspired with Spain for the MOCK battle at Fort Santiago so it would look like the US freed the Philippines. Meanwhile, Aquinaldo's soldiers sourrounded the fort. And after that, I like how you refreshened your campaign with the Thomasites. Japan? After the Filipino held off Japan for years, and after the US came in and then took credit for everything, US planes bombed Manila-inparticular Intramuros

Why bomb Manila when the war was already over? Maybe to keep up the political, economic, industrial reliance on another nation?were still waiting on the $ promised by the way,on top of the racist denial of benefits to Filipino WW2 vets.
Then when we were "granted" you-know-what in 1946, we were manipulated into the Bell Trade Act. SO now the US no longer needs a colony, they can legally exploit our resources!
If you really wanted to give us freedom, you shouldnt of taken it.
