Runners Knee is a condition characterized by pain behind or around the kneecap. Poor kneecap tracking is believed to be the main cause this condition.

Runners Knee Pain is due to an irritation of the undersurface of the kneecap. The undersurface of the kneecap, or patella, is covered with a layer of smooth cartilage. This cartilage normally glides effortlessly across the knee during bending of the joint. However, in some individuals, the kneecap tends to rub against one side of the knee joint, the cartilage surface becomes irritated, and knee pain is the result.

KT Tape provides immediate relief from Runner's Knee by providing support to the patella tendons and aligning the knee cap for better tracking over the joint. The support provided is similar to a patella knee band but KT Tape is very comfortable to wear and doesn't constrict circulation, therefore not interfering with normal body mechanics.

  • There's two videos on runner's knee and one on the instructional paper that came with the tape. Which one do I use?

  • @mvdragon91 The other one is a brand new technique that we will be filming in the studio soon. We think the new one is better than the original, but truthfully they both deliver great results.

  • I have question! if is this kind tapes are dam good ...why professionals players as soccer or tennis ( by example) don't use this tape??

  • @bardaso you gotta look harder- they ALL wear KT Tape. Gareth Bale, Beckham, Djokovic, Lee, Williams sisters are just a few recently photographed taped up.

  • Absolutely- KT Tape is perfect for use in training and competitions.

  • how long does it last on your body?

  • @coolwhip616 you can keep KT Tape on for up to 5 days at a time- including wearing it in the shower or pool.

I wonder i got a knee injury for 4years ago while running at school i was planning to run 800m but after 700m i broke my ligaments the two on the sides of the knee and the one at the front of the knee. I heard like a Loud clear "POP" and i was on cruches 8 weeks and now 4years later still having trouble with the pain.I can't sport because of the pain and i am only 17. If some one can anwser i have tested kneepads and tape but dossn't help please anwser what i should do.

  • @bardaso are you serious? Gareth Bale is the most notable of the players who use it, after his great games vs Inter, it seemed that everyone started using it. Some people even think that he continues to use it because it is his "lucky charm."

  • @bardaso just take a good look nowadays. Ronaldo from Real Madrid uses it, the chinese wimbledon winner this year 2011 used it, I even saw a drummer on the the dutch television when looking at the coverage of Pinkpop 2011

  • Just wanted to thank you.Completed my first marathon yesterday, Edinburgh. This really helped me.
