  • This is very interesting and different.I love it and I am planning on ordering moulds this weekend, but i have a question. Can any type of acrylic be used or no? And how long does this usually last? Can these moulds be lifted off or the have to stay on once you press them onto the nail?

  • @1992sweetie Hi, yes pretty much any brand of acrylic can be used. Would advise a faster setting range as the slow set sculpting acrylics are more difficult to use with the moulds :-) Everyone is different but we would say average is 2-3 weeks but most can go longer 3-4-5 weeks before an in-fill or new set is needed. No the moulds stay on, they become part of the finished nail extension and protect the acrylic while the client is wearing them :-) If you have anymore questions just email :-)

  • Can any acrylic be used? Ii've notice ebay sells the dual system nail can I buy it from there?

  • @6927920 Hi, they may look the same but actually Inverted Moulds are nothing like dual system forms :-) the only aspect which is similar is that you sculpt the acrylic down into them before applying to the natural nail. Inverted Moulds (or IM's) are much much thinner, made from different stuff that is designed to bond with the acrylic not reject it like dual system forms and so they are not removed from the finished nail in fact they become part of it protecting the clients investment :-)

  • How are they removed please tell me!

  • @Sjodaqueen Just soak off in acetone as normal :-)

  • I'm only 8 and I say that's cool:)

  • @sexyladyakb Hi, actually the whole nail is made from acrylic and it's bonded to the nail plate using pink acrylic. No glue is used at all :-) but it's a common misconception that acrylic damages nails. The real problem comes from bad nail techs blending in glued on tips and thinning the nail plate. HTH :-)

  • how do you apply to natural nail? glue? i think this is a better idea than acrylics. probably less damaging
