Awesome job! I love this song, cool how you just groove trough the drum battle, kind of hard to cover that section, but it is possible.
One thing I would point out is when you go out of the hard rocking part at 0:23, you hit the crash on "1" but in the recording Keith does not play the crash there. I personally think it sounds better the way Keith does it, kind of flows nicely into the crazy groove section. But still great job.

what heads are u using?
it's one of the best videos with oak custom sound...

Very Nice dude!
Thanks everyone! yes, I agree the way Keith plays does sound a little cooler. he also only crashes on quarters, while i do on eighths. and there is no backing track - this is me playing over the original. there are drums in the background. thanks a lot!

Die cast hoops significantly change the tone, and add more attach and purer pitch. Lastly, I have the heads tuned way down, which allows the shells to resonate and sustain longer. Hope that answers your question, and thanks for the kind words.

Hey there! I'm using remo coated ambassadors on the top and clear diplomats on the bottom. For the kick, I have a coated powerstroke 3 on the beater side and an aquarian force II resonant for the reso head (and i muffle with a small eq pillow against the reso side, leaving the beater side free.
However this kit sounds as it does because I have replaced all hoops with die cast hoops (top and bottom).
