High School Girls Basketball - St. Paul Central vs. Minneapolis South (2008)

The most anticipated game this season: St. Paul Central and Minneapolis South met in a rematch of the 2007 class AAAA high school girls basketball state championship.

Minnesota player Kiara Buford and Marquette player Georgie Jones headlined Central while South was led by their marquis three: Tayler Hill, Ephesia Holmes and Tyisha Smith.

This same Central team would later win the 2008 class AAAA state championship, the first time Central won back-to-back titles.

Thank you for posting these games!! I have been a fan of MN Girls Basketball since I was 5; when my sisters team (Duluth East) went to state in 1982, 1983 and 1985. Great memories, and the games get better every year!
