The ONLY excuse the Secret Service has to be after these guys in this case is that they MIGHT be committing fraud or embezzelment. Those are the two white-collar crimes the Servce deals with...but yeah, it doesn't seem right. But, as always, it's just a movie.

@jonnbag06 unlikely. even so they upgraded from the old elcotel 2 to the 3 and then 4 in the later 90's. i use to run a elcotel 2 and then finally got a series 3. i eventually sold my series 3 phone and ended up with some nortel millenium's, still have them old phones in my closet.

@dennis3380 If you see FREEKS' reaction when Dade asks about Acid Burn you can tell FREEK is keeping Kate's alias name a secret.
Then when Dade asks if they know who "HE" is FREEK answers specifically "No, don't know who HE is, do u?" to convince Dade he dosen't know Acid Burn/Kate Libby.
