Done for the final project for my Visual Development for Theme Design class, which I took in Tokyo, Japan with SCAD's SEQA (Sequential Art) Department.
Unfortunately, I got incredibly sick two days before we had to pitch our theme designs, so I couldn't make it to the pitch session.
Luckily my professor was understanding enough to give me an extension and let me pitch the theme design in a video format.
I'm uploading it here so he can see it and I can get my grade.
(Thanks, Dove! You are more awesome than a sack of kittens!)

My idea for the attraction is to fully immerse the rider in the ride itself.
They start by getting a special haori and katana (fake, of course), that has sensors in it to detect the rider's movements.
As they wait for their turn on the ride, they get to practice their swordplay in the "Dojo," a special waiting room just next to the ride room.
The ride itself is more of a virtual reality experience, and takes place entirely in one room.
However, the rider is full immersed in the experience by mounting a "horse" (a machine much like a mechanical bull) that will take them through battle, which is displayed on a 360 screen all around them.
I'm pitching this as an "interactive and cooperative theme park attraction" because the group must work together to stay alive and complete the mission.
If an enemy attacks your ally from the side while they are busy with another enemy, you must protect them.
In the end, you all join forces at once to kill the "boss."
After the ride is over, the experience continues, even after you take off your haori and hand in your katana.
You exit the ride and pass by the food stall (which I imagine to be an actual functioning vendor), where you hear people talking about the brave Ronin who broke a thousand-year old curse.

Sorry the video quality isn't that good and you can't really see the storyboards too well.
I'm using iMovie '09 for the first time, and on top of that, I'm recovering from an illness and am on a time crunch to boot, so this is the best I can do on such short notice.

Enjoy anyway and thanks for watching! :)
