Prior to an interview with a German TV crew. Ganley hides his US flag. No sign of an Irish, European or for that matter a British flag, (the country of his birth).

  • You think a yes vote would have prevented the Economy going down the toilet? The Anglo banking scandal?, John O'Donohue's expenses?

The subject of referendum hasn't changed on punctuation mark since it was last voted on, and a yes vote may keep our commissioner but what powers will he/she have?

I am absolutely not afraid of a second of a second referendum, my point is that it shouldn't be happening if the country we live in was truly democratic.

  • A yes vote last year obvisiously wouldn't have stopped the crisis happening but it has added increased uncertainty to our future. But my point is the no vote didn't help at all. Having another vote is not undemocratic perhaps though pushing nama through is or the fact that FF are still in power despite having lose the trust of the public.

  • now we know where his allegiances lie

  • LOL the true side of Ganley. "I believe in Europe" he claims. Yeah, one subservient to the USA and NATO. He will say and do anything to avoid Europe from being strong.

  • @1234ilikeit

now look what happened since we voted Yes.

What a embarrassment your views are....for you.

still I suppose you 're entitled to your opinion...and worse still .......a vote.

  • @1234ilikeit Wow so Lisbon was about killing and abusing children........I hope people said no..I hope they make you president..

  • @Gerard200224 Fundamental rights??????? what a hypocrite you are? How about the fundamental right of having a different opinion to yourself without being called a "twonk" .I worry about the world full of your kind of fundamental rights

  • His wife is American. She uses this office too.

Just shows many journalists are out to get him.

I think he was wise to take it down for a German interview.

Many Germans still see the flag as the one that gave them a good hiding 63 years ago. Shows me how sensitive and astute he is.

My quibble is where he shoved it. But then he is much kinder to journalists than I would be.

  • A real pro european LOL, a front for the CIA more like

  • He was raised in Glenamaddy Co Galway. I know people who went to school with him.

  • *NO SIDE: Shinners, Ganley, Socialists, Coir, Eirigi, UKIP, Le Pen, BNP.

*YES SIDE: all international chambers of commerce, most independent economists, 3 main political parties, IFA, IBEC, IDA, ISME, SIPTU, ICTU, most major trade unions, Small Firms Association, Pfizer, Ryanair, Intel, Microsoft.

    Who you going to trust?

  • VOTE NO!

  • The guy's a twonk. Whatever limited mandate the government has he has absolutely none and is only getting coverage because the No campaign are limited to Sinn Fein and those Coir nutters. I read the treaty, and am voting YES because I want to see the Charter of Fundamental Rights given a legal basis, once and for all.

  • He was born and raised in England and has an English accent. There are a lot of people more Irish than that!
