Inboard vented Disc Brakes were availabe on the Citroen DS from 1955 inception onward. You could do panic stops all day long in those cars without overheating the brakes.
I do like the foldback roof on the Lark (or was it a Champion)?

Tucker would be impressed -

So why would you be needing to stop at 100 mph?

Licensed by Dunlop to Stude.

American production of Studebakers ended in December 1963, Mustang production began in March 1964. I think all industry insiders had seen the writing on the wall for Studebaker a long time before then.

Chrysler used disc brakes as early as 1949 to 1954 on the Crown Imperial, and made by Ausco-Lambert.. They were true disc and operated like a clutch but actuated by steel balls on ramps. They were very powerful, but somewhat grabby and sensitive, and overheated easily due to lack of cooling air in the closed design. And yes, I love the Avanti as much today as when new. You'll NEVER mistake one for a Toky-yota,I guarantee !!!

Did they still use hardened oak pads for the rear drums?
Yes, but does it come with a gas cap and a rear view mirror?
