This is my Antilles Pink Toe tarantula (avicularia versicolor) named Tilly catching and eating a cricket. She molted in January and is now almost 5" legspan.
Good god is that true...When I received my pink toe she was missing a leg. The girl at the pet store literally ripped it off while attempting to remove the T from it's tunnel web (which it made because it's habitat was designed for a desert T, not a sub tropical one). After 1 molt she was well on her way to recovery/regeneration. Skip all of this mess, go somewhere they specialize in T's.
That's a very beautiful pink toe, do you know where I can get one besides local pet stores? Breeders told me most of times tarantula's there are usually dehyrated, unfed, or usually in bad shape. But beautiful pink toe :)
