Petalpainter, I am humbled by your kind words and I thank you for them too. I will make more dan vids when I manage to get hold of more of hos albums. I am in the process of tracking down some more at the moment. At the same time, I don't want to mass produce them or else they will just become junk, I want each one to be special, so it might take some time, but it will happen. Peace to you and yours

Dan died 2 years ago this week. Captured Angel was the first album my wife and I purchased after our marriage 33 years ago. Together we cried the day that Dan died. Pulled out the album (vinyl) today and spun it on the turntable. We lost a great songwriter and man that day.

Tage. What can I say? Absolutely fantastic. I must have been in a cave, but just learned yesterday of Dan's passing. I am devastated. I started listening with Home Free ( my most loved album) and have never stopped. Thank you so much for what must have been a tremendous effort in putting this together. You have truly touched me.

Excellent job Tage! My older brother played this record for me when I was in high school and I was immediately hooked. Because of it, I learned the guitar, and it's been my lifelong companion in good times and bad, as have been Dan's songs. Thank you!

My God, what a song. I've owned Netherlands and The Innocent Age since they were released but now feel so guilty for not delving deeper into the work of a true genius. Can't thank you enough for sharing this and the other gems.

"1976, Jeff (that's me) sent me a silly "letter" on cassette tape to me while I was living in Casey Illinois... "Captured Angel" was playing in the back ground on the tape. 1978, lost my virginity....Findlay ... 'Nether Lands' ... 'Dancing Shoes' was playing. 1984... Christmas, My Ford Escort was broken down in Cleveland. I was waiting for Laura to rescue me, 'Same Old Lang Syne' was on the radio. RIP."

I was fortunate. My music experience was in full bloom when Dan started. All his music..but I am a fan of his early works. If it made air-time, to me, it wasn't his best. I have what I consider his "best of" on imeem. Feel free to listen!
