This is a "home movie" of my good friend, Layne, and I, singing an old Ralph Carmichael song. It was popular back in the 70's. We need to re-tape it, as this was really a "warm-up"session, and we had a few word blunders, but I hope you will enjoy it anyway, as we sang it from our hearts, and the main message is still there--about how walking each day with Jesus will help you get through the ups and downs of life.

  • That was beautiful! I loved that song. I used to be in a church youth group and we sang that song. I sure miss singing for the Lord.

  • @TennesseeShelties Thank you so much. I hope you can sing for the Lord again someday. It is a great joy. Sorry we messed up the words on this one a little. It was my first time to be videoed, and I got so nervous I forgot the words. Glad the love of the Lord shone through anyway. I saw your doggies! They are so pretty!

  • Thank you for all the nice comments. @bathsheba45, we really need to remake this with the correct words....I didn't realize we had messed it up until we had already posted it. Thanks for being so observant! Glad you liked the lava lamp too! Went with the era right? lol @FransPannekeet - yes, the coffee is warm, come on over!!

  • You wrote: "This is a "home movie" of my good friend, Layne, and I, singing an old Ralph Carmichael song."

Nanahudnall, it's not Layne and I, it's Layne and me. Why do people constantly make this atrocious grammar mistake? Here's your rule: "When in doubt, leave one out." This means leave out Layne's name. You are left with "this is a home movie of I singing an old Ralph Carmichael song." WRONG!

  • Beautiful!

I love that song so much. It has such a great meaning to it. Songs like that just aren't written anymore.

  • Tra la la la la la la tra la la la. Is coffee warm?

  • I also really like the stereo speaker in the background with a lava lamp.

  • Woops -- you guys forgot that in the verse it goes "What is that to me?" instead of starting right out with He's Everything to Me. Ralph put a lyrical hook and tension there that is the point of the song.

  • Now mash this up with Stevie Wonder's I Just Called to Say I Love You!

  • Great!!
