iPhone 4 Fisheye test - Mini Ramp Skating

First play with the new magnetic fisheye lens on the iPhone 4. I mounted it to the front VGA camera since it had a better view width than the rear HD camera which for some reason seems to be zooming in on the image. Once this issue is resolved the HD side should be fine as it looks great in photo mode through the rear lens. The width of this fisheye is amazing, it feels as wide as the all powerful Mk1 Death Lens but it would be great to do a controlled comparison between the two. Edited in iMovie for mac with some colour correction added in post. Song is 'Grinning Mouth' by post metal band ISIS.

How do you get your magnets to stick good ? Mine don't stick good anymore. Do you take yours on and off ? I'm looking for a site that might just sell the magnets. I need a new one bad.

@waltabeast I had the same problem, in the end I actually ended up super glueing it to the plastic protection film on the front of my iPhone (remember I use the front facing camera to film this stuff). It sticks great but you need to be careful when you take it off that the magnetic pull doesnt lift the plastic coating (hold finger near base and tilt lens away from the center of the phone works best). I guess this same method would work fine on the back facing camera as well.

The fisheye on an iPhone doesn't give this good of effect. What did u really use? And if it is, how did u get it to look like that? It must have not been a iPhone 4.

@AllThatOtherJunk  Haha! I assure you it is an iPhone 4. Its the 180 ' stocko fisheye lens with the sticky ring that is selling all over ebay and its mounted to the front camera (not the back one that films in HD). No magic tricks or details left out...

I got this lens off ebay. There are a bunch of sellers (mostly from Hong Kong) that have them for like 20-30 bucks. The silver one with 180 ' and the magnetic keyring attachment is the one you are after. Haven't tried to attach it to the HD side of things yet. It does work but just is no where near as wide since the sensor appears to be cropped by the camera software.
