Upon perusing websites for public domain videos, my friend Tom came across old drive-in movie adverts, this one being for pizza at the refreshement stand with an overly stereotypical Italian chef. Now, I've worked at an Italian restaurant for quite a few years now and my bosses came right off the boat, so I can tell an American actor overemphasizing an Italian accent quite easily and man this guy does just that.

  • @maxtrip1 oh sorry the first pizza was olives and cheese I meant tomatoes were added in naples but flatbread with stuff on it predates italy by a long time

  • Reminds me of "Family Guy" when Peter and Brian go into an Italian bakery and Peter thinks he can speak Italian because he grew a mustache, and says to the guy behind the counter "A boopy da boppy? A Boopa da boppy da beepa da boppy!" OK, maybe itsa justa me, I dunno . . . you betcha ma life-ah!

  • 0:17 - "You betcha ma life-ah." If you can't see what's politically incorrect about this video, you don't have your speakers turned on. Still, very harmless depiction of a stereotype Italian pizza maker, like that plaster statue you see in some pizza shops with a little guy with curly hair, a black moustache and a chef's hat and apron on, holding a pizza.

  • @timothypnolan

heeeemmm....sorry but, HOW COULD THE GREEK MAKE A FLAT BREAD WITH TOMATO 2000 YEARS AGO....IF IN EUROPE THEY NEVER KNEW WHAT A TOMATO WAS BEFORE THE DISCOVERY OF AMERICA (1492)?!?!?!?!?

  • @maxtrip1

It depends on how you define pizza

The first flat bread with tomato and olive oil was probably the greeks. Modern pizza comes from Naples but until the mid-late 1800s

  • WHAT?!?!?! WHY DON'T YOU SAY THAT PIZZA WAS INVENTED IN CHINA...

  • @DanteDellamorte io preferisco la pizza toscano

  • @iron6969 pizza was invented in greece

    Napoli just does it best

  • @lacus1147 That is what REAL pizza looks like. A balance of bread tomatoes and cheese. Looks at brick oven pizza of new york. that is still real.

  • real pizzas are squared like

    no round
