Lincoln my Golden Retriever died from Distemper

This is my beautiful baby Lincoln. He was born Jan 17, 2009 and died on May 18, 2009. Lincoln was a gorgeous baby, unfortunately, he was exposed to other sick dogs at the store and he got severely sick in less than a week. We did everything possible to save him, he was feeling better after all the medication we had him on. His pneumonia and Anemia was getting better, he was always playful. But until that one day came, and his nervous system was attacked. He had seizure after seizure, and we couldn't bare to see him like that. We had no choice but to do the right thing and we had to end his suffering....he is no longer with us.

This video is to inform everyone out there looking to have a loving dog at home. Please do not purchase from puppy stores, or we will continue to give them business, repeat the cycle and they will continue to be negligent with these poor babies that do not deserve this kind of treatment.

Yeah, I was stupid. But I did not know, it was my first dog. No one ever took the time to inform people about this on tv, nor do people know, unless you ask and investigate. So thanks for your comment! Appreciate it.

Now that I know, I ended up adopting my second dog from a rescue. Retard.

Thank you for all of your compassionate comments. I appreciate it, I loved Lincoln so much. I will never buy a dog at a pet store again, those dogs are puppy mill dogs.

On a good note, I rescued a Golden Retriever about two months later after Lincoln died. His name is Bentley and he is a healthy boy, he is now 6 months old. I'll post a video of him. Thanks guys for all of the support.

Hey mate, my dog was 3 years old and had just finished being fully trained to be the best friend I have ever had and then he suddenly comes down with this and 1 month later he dies in front of me in a massive seizure after having slept on the floor in a house-clinic with him for a week watching him 24 hours a day. Just ripped my heart out - I could not really see the point in life anymore.

Girl, one thing that help the dogs diseases to don't be spread is "pit up after your dog" all the time.

In that way we protect all the dogs and our own dogs too.

Sorry, that you lose your puppy I have a Golden retriever and I know are awesome dogs, also I thing is better maybe expent a little bit more money and buy the dog for a good breader in that case is less probability that the dog be sick.
