Also, since you enjoy this style I wanted to recommend a recording that was out of print. It was reintroduced, but I am not sure how long it will be available. It is called Serengeti Minstrel by Sonny Fortune. I strongly recommend it. Yes it has a little bit of a "dated" sound, but it is sweet. Jack De Johnette is on drums so that should speak volumes. It is on Wounded Bird Records.
