  • Young Black Women are continuously lusting after the aptly-described "ruffnecks" and "thugged-out" brothers within our culture. It was in 1993, when MC Lyte, rapped - on a song called "Ruffneck," from the album, "Aint No Other" - "I need a ruffneck/I need a dude with attitude/Who only needs his fingers with his food/Karl Kani saggin' timbos draggin'/Frontin' in his ride with his home boys braggin'/Lying 'bout the Lyte how he knocked boots last night/But he's a ruffneck so that's alright.

  • I remember that song and I was only 3yrs old then. The media has played a part as how people have gone in this world as time has progressed.

  • Ok young black men do the same thing with women (it still go both ways). You don't hear to many male rappers rapping about "I need smart girl with goals that's doing something in they life, a woman that's not all about the thug shit & is about the real shit. It's all about M.O.B.(money over bitches) to most niggas. MC Lyte was rapping about how niggas acted in her hood around that time, because thats all she saw in black men where she lived. If you hear the lyrics alot of that shit is true.

  • And you still hear that today I understand that but with my statement for an educated black woman to be more about her money first and get her Sh*t straight then start trying to get a man I mean that more in a way to be more on top of her career first.Trying to put that in the video to get them to understand that you can be successful and still find a man would've been easier to say rather than be more about the money beccause "most" black woman doing what they do are but still get fucked up men

  • So reall towards the end of me making this video it became a difficult thing to do because I had realized that with my "original" message I was basically telling BlkEdcWm to get a career and pretty much live up to that stereo type they live up to already so I changed it to what you hear in the video now because I looked at it from so many different ways it would've been hard to get the "right" message out on how to help them.

  • Once again I feel ya but your missing the point. Did you see Black in America on CNN or stats of any kind there's more black women in college than black men, and there's more black men in jail than anybody. I still think it's a double standard, niggas are the same damn way. Men fuck up the system as much as women does. We need to wake up, people are not going to change because people are stating opinions on how they feel on one side.

  • I saw that episode but I have stated my views on both sides in 2 or 3 different videos mostly on the woman but on the issue that black people are fucking up ALL together. But how society paints it is that it's MOSTLY "black men" more than pointing out the black womans fault as well.

  • They fault us the most because we are the seed & the future to this shit. They know once black men become stronger, we can change shit, but that wont happen unless we look within ourselves first then others. I seen your other videos they were good, but I just wanted to get that out and say keep doing what you are doing we need more black men like yourself. Because I'm from New Orleans & we had mad crimes out here before Katrina & you think people learned nope its the same, niggas wont learn.

  • And the stuff about girls looking at cars, jewels, and all this other BS is the same way everywhere and it's been like that for a loooooong time. There are chicks like that everywhere from the hood to the up-town, and up-town girls are the ones that go after hood niigas the most because of the media and what they aren't uset to seeing in their enviorment.

  • But I'm not talking about looking for a dude with money (The legit way) but I mean sacrifice men for your own career for a little while then start looking for the "right" man in the "right" places and know what the "right" man is for them.
