  • Say what you want about Russo, he's right. He's the only guy thinking big like McMahon. The boys all talk the independent low-level shit that hasn't worked in 40 years, hasnt ever drawn shit, and never paid anybody a dime. Russo's TV understanding may have shortcomings, but the basis was spot-on and it is showing in the influence the boys have on the show today.

  • Vince Russo was just a mole sent by McMahon to ruin WCW. It's so obvious.

  • should have fired schivone on the spot

  • yes wcw was on deep shit even before Russo came in but on that point they had stars like Goldberg,Bret Hart,Chris Benoit,Chris Jericho...focusing those guys and actualy build them as credibilty and let hogan,Nash and Savage and all fn hasbeen to make these guys over. if you watch history of wrestling there are many creative ways to build new stars and top contenders but they still focused fn hasbeens, least Booker T got over before WCW died i´m glad that because booker worked hes ass of for WCW.

  • Nice beard !

  • @Taki4life

It's great that Russo was SO bad, people are actually willing to believe this is true.

  • @krazygreen ratings will never be the same again. it doesnt matter if it is wwe, tna, ring of honor, or anybody else...the boom period is over, they are lucky to break 3.0-3.5....same with tna if this was the 90s, theyd be higher than 1.3-1.4, its a new decade, new era...times have changed thats for sure

  • @Hperman09, McMahon didn't "filter" shit, he takes credit when things are good (Attitude Era), and hides off camera when things are shit(hadn't been on tv in 2012). Where was McMahon's "filter" when this farting bullshit from natayla got on smackdown or when Rosie ODonnell got booed out of the ring during that shit segment with the fake donald trump or this brodus clay gimmick which is a ripoff of "Disco inferno or Ernest the Cat Miller" now they copy wcw gimmicks? Scary thought

  • @MagnesDrachen13 Very fair point - and maybe someone larger in physical stature...

  • I like Vince Russo a lot and with Vince Mcmahon it worked like a team. As it was proof in TNA and WCW, he needed a "Vince Mcmahon to filter his ideas. In WCW, Russo's stuff was just too bizarre, too chaotic, and he wound up just confusing and losing the audience.

  • Unlike many of the nay sayers, I actually like Vince Russo, I like what he's done for the business and hope that he can make a WWE return someday. I believe that he and McMahon worked best together. Now with that said, I think one place Russo is in over his head is in regards to the "shock value" putting the WCW title would create. Russo fails to realize that he wasn't McMahon. People watched Vinnie Mac and despised the Mr. McMahon character, people watched Russo and asked who is this guy.
