Its not sand in my aquarium, those are little stone balls and the gold fishes were fine in the tank tho they didnt eat on their gills and the axolotls also dont bite them just give them enough to eat.. the gold fishes are out of the tank by now tho and the yellow stone balls (which looks like sand haha) are now white =)

And no they are not dead in this vid, they are just sittin in their little eggs haha.

As lovely as they are, you really shouldn't have them with fish or sand. 3 of my axolotls had their feet just fall apart when I used sand and it's very bad for their gills. As for the fish, they will either nibble at their frilly gills or the axies will snap at the fish and one day you'll wake up with one very well fed axolotl! I speak out of experience so try to take my comments the way they were intended =)
