Rainy Day Paintball- tips for playing in the rain

Playing in the rain sucks. Unless you're playing a tournament and you have no choice but to play in the rain, I definitely don't recommend it with an electric marker.

Here are my tips-

1) Use a hat, or electrical tape to block the holes on the top of your mask. You won't be able to see anything if the inside and the outside of your mask is wet & dripping

2) Use empty bags of paint to cover your loader, especially if you have a speedfeed. Ask the refs if you can begin the game with the bag. Every field, rules, refs, and situation is different. Sometimes you can start the game with the bag, sometimes they want you to take it off. Ask the head ref of the field you are playing on FIRST.

3) Use electric tape to tape the porting on your barrel. Wrap up all the porting in electrical tape to prevent water from dripping in. Water has the same effect as a barrel break, and the water can roll back into your gun if your not careful. So tape that porting, or purchase the "rain tip"

@paintballtechpb Taping over the porting on the end of the barrel doesn't affect trajectory because there is not a perfect fit between barrel and bullet (unlike a firearm). Most of the pressure behind a paintball escapes around it before passing halfway down the barrel. That's also why extremely long barrels don't necessarily grant any higher velocities. BUT! The holes do alter the surface of the bore and affect spin, covering the outside of these holes doesn't change this.

@realsteelpaintball The co2 freezing is matter of temperature so if it's raining but its kinda hot nothing is going to happen but if climate is very cold yes it's going to freeze up faster
