Selah Sue, real name Sanne Putseys, was born in Leuven, Belgium on the 3rd of May, 1989. Selah started playing classic guitar when she was 15. At 17, she participated in an open mic night at Het Depot, a small venue in Leuven. Milow, real name Jonathan Vandenbroeck - a successful Belgian singer and organiser of the event, saw her performance and asked her to be his support act. Sanne accepted, wrote more songs and is steadily gaining the respect she deserves.
