please notice I have nothing against the UK or their inhabitants. But lots of brittons come only here to be rude with us, offense French History or saying stupidities they have learned I don't know where.
Most of them are even proud of their ignorance, this is really impressive. I don't know where they learn to be so hatefull against France.
Maybe some jalousy, I don't know. If you have some explanations, I would be really delighted to read what you think about that.

If only Louis XIV had been half as GOOD as his Grandfather! The Art, Music, & Culture of the Late 17th century France are our FAVOURITE! But at what price!? And the self-destructive practices led to the tragic downfall of the Monarchy a century later! But we Huguenot exiles still love our France. There is always hope for improvement!

Could be add that Académie Royale de Musique (1669) was also establish by the Sun-King (This is now Opéra National de Paris)

France was/is truely a cultural superpower, and the 17th century has seen France's apogee in culture, arts, military might, wealth, power, and glory, only surpassed by the Age of Napoleon.

My favourite European writer of that age is La Bruyere. A bright age, no doubt. Louis the Great had the talent to notice other talented men. France was really the torch of Western civilization during Louis' reign.
