Loving Hayek and Partying with Milk: Q&A with Dorian Electra

"I think economics is cool, I think it's fun," declares musician and video director Dorian Electra (http://www.youtube.com/DORIANELECTRA). "I think other people should think that too."

Electra has been creating economics-themed music videos since her high school senior thesis spawned the YouTube hit "I'm in Love with Friedrich Hayek" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psosLp...). Her latest video, "Fa$t Ca$h", seeks to explain the boom and busts created by the Federal Reserve's quantitative easing program.

Reason TV's Nick Gillespie caught up with Electra at the 2013 International Students for Liberty Conference to discuss her love of Austrian economists, how she discovered libertarianism, and her most recent music project, "Party Milk."

Pretty girls are given undue precedence in the libertarian movement due to the fact that it's dominated by young males and has a painful lack of female involvement.

In short, the libertarian movement amounts to the early stage of internet gaming. Not many girls here, but omg, when we come across one... She may not have any actual skill and her warrior is wearing pally gear, but that's no reason not to invite her to end game raids, amiright?

Mises has the ideas. But his writing is impossible to read. I got Human Action because so many people recomended it so highly. And with all good intent I started reading. And round about 80 or 90 pages in I was so dehydrated that there was a local crop failure. The man had no idea how to write.

I get that you weren't being racist with that comment but i think that it might be misconstrued by some people, you do make a good point, the african american community seems oblivious to the desecration and destruction of their livelihood at the hands of the state, because, rather unfortunately, the state has created a slave mentality... Sowell wrote about this frequently. This same mentality is rife through all demographics in southern europe.
