Meg & Dia- Masterpiece/Santeria (Roseland, NYC 02/15/08)

One of the biggest surprises of the night was when the band seamlessly transitioned from Masterpiece to a cover of Sublime's Santeria.

Notes: Hearing Dia say 'punkass' was a real treat. And I think Meg should've been playing her Telecaster to cut through the mix better.

just saw them in toronto, i was soo lost, cuz their mics were off, so you really couldnt hear meg too well, so i was like...wait a minute, thats santeria! she did an awesome job at covering it guitar wise tho!, funny thing is they're wearing the same outfits haha

not sure whos who but the lead singer, i presume meg, for the first like 4 aongs was overly powered by ALL the instruments, and towards the end you could just barely start to hear her, but unfortunately, their set ran too long, it was good, however many people felt 3 opening acts were 2 many for AVA, and unfortunately meg and dia were last up, and recieved the brunt of the crowd

people here in ohio were kind of the same way. only, they were between the two roughest crowds. i thought it was an amazing show, though. the acoustics and sound at the newport have always been boyond standard because it used to be a theatre. but still,i dont see how their set could have run too long. they have a certian amount of songs and they kind of stick to that. eh, whatever.
