Did Sennheiser have the best sounding headphones at CES? What was the best headphone deal at CES? Are new headphones from Philips and Skullcandy worth listening to? How about audiophile quality wireless cans? Can Monster produce a decent headphone without Beats? What's the story with V-Moda, Sonomax? We've got a great interview with head-fi.org founder Jude Mansilla... where we geek out on headphones and earbuds from $100 to $1000!

  • He is a sound expert but not a camera expert :D

  • @alannassir In 6 months your computer will no longer be state of the art, in two years it'll be oudated and in 4 years it'll be a slow piece of ..... A great pair of headphones will play music so much better than you've ever heard, and it'll do it for many many years without the sound degrading.

  • @xb0x36oGeEkkk thats just skype being skype

  • those r so expensive

  • @dq9677 :/ Then dont expect audiophile-quality sound if your not willing to take the extra steps getting a high quality amp, high quality music etc. I understand your point though, and I respect that some people want something just a bit better than their apple earbuds or what have you.

  • @mrrsbots Yes, but those companies' wares are tailored towards audiophiles, with a price tag to match. They're generally harder to drive, and could really benefit from a hi-fi source. Your average consumer won't know the difference between MP3 and FLAC. Plus, the audiophile cans look more professional, while Monsters and Skullcandies have that "street" look and wow factor to them. It's nice to have good sounding cans that are public friendly.

  • @dq9677 There are quite a few companies that already do that...AKG, Audio Technica, Sennheiser,Dennon, I could go on but all of those companies have great looking headphones with better sound than V-Moda, Monster and Skullcandy.

  • I'm liking the direction V-Moda, Monster, and Skullcandy are going, making good looking cans that actually SOUND good.

  • surprised you guys didnt talk about the monster inspiration

  • Just read your other post sry. Have you had comparison between 009 and 90?

  • @12012channel Unless you are talking golded or Senn's Orpheus the priciest you can have is the Stax SR-009 at 5,2k
