install windows on ubuntu , for this you need app called as virtualbox also install vboxgtk version , than copy your legal windows cd on hard disk in .iso format than launch virtualbox and create virtual hard disk of your desired space [ reason i am using virtualbox instead of vboxgtk for creating virtual hard disk is that as of today (21st Oct 2009) i am getting some error in vboxgtk , but in newer versions , it will work ] in here i have taken 4 gb (giga byte) , check dynamically allocate space , it will not allocate all space at once , but as you install windows / programs it will dynamically increase its space but only upto your desired allocate space , as in here 4 gb , after saving exit virtualbox , launch vboxgtk , create new virtual machine (vm) , select your version windows operating system (os) , as in here xp , than Run it , to enter in windows in vbox left click mouse , to exit press right control key , thats all , one installed in here is crystalxp .
stupid.
