  • Just a quick update to those who see these videos and are curious how I am doing... as of 6/11 I am almost 2.5 years post transplant and doing great. My donor is also doing great. :) I am so glad that these videos have helped to show the process of PD to potential patients. ESRD is a lot of work no matter what the treatment method, but is manageable and you can live a full life. I wish everyone the best.

  • nice iodine stain man!

  • @sevakili not washing hands, not showering, not cleaning the exit site, having a fan on in your room while connecting, not masking, touching the tube etc

  • Awesome video. As a pharmacy student, this was very information. Hope all is well, Mark.

  • How did it go ?

  • what other factors have you found that can put the home peritoneal dialysis patient at a higher risk for coming in with peritonitis?

  • I believe the most serious complication that can result from peritoneal dialysis is infection, so you are right about caution with aseptic technique. I get the impression you have had a transplant, hope all is well, and thanks for posting this...I am a nursing student and we don't always get to see live everything we are studying. Not only does this make the process more clear, but it puts a human face on it as well, which is the most important thing!

  • I wish I had a camera back when I was on PD. I have a kidney transplant now myself. What date did you get yours?
