Stevie had the best vibrato. He just shook the hell outta that thing. Crazy considering he used 13's, string-wise. The muscles in his hands must have been insanely strong.

Nice job srv, but jimi version is better

I've heard tons of different musicians cover Jimi's tunes, but nobody does it with as much passion as SRV. Jimi's left arm was a guitar, and so was Stevie's right.
Since they both had that orgasmic look on their faces as they played, I guess that analogy would make perfect sense. The best orgasms often come from playing with yourself. LOL!!

This is great. Usually when SRV did Jimi he would basically put his own spin on it On this it seems he went out of his way to play it like Jimi would have. Very cool...

@theganjaking56 Nice comment, that's the bottom line...

stupid,give credit to all those that love the music.im a big hendrix,srv,led zep fan.they did give credit all of them.led zep got caught up because they didnt think it would be wrong,as everybody was covering old blues.srv had it,so did j.page,hendrix just gave us all a running start,just lkike chuck berry.give it up for all the awsome guitar players they paved the way for all of us guitar players.stop arguing,all these guys go back to r.johnson.and before that.its music not football.

@estariuna hell yes,nobody could compare.

@YanksFan162 Hendrix has Jazz roots also. He was influenced by Wes Montgomery. Hendrix played Jazz way before Stevie..

Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan are both awesome in their own right. So anybody that is attempting to compare them and argue over who is better ought to shut up and just accept them as being two of the greatest guitarists ever.
