[Short version]Beautiful French tv series from 1965 [13 episodes], broadcasted in many European countries at the time. First filmed in 1927 after a novel by Arthur Bernède. Here are stills of the great ghost design and with fantastic music composed by French composer Antoine Duhamel. The total time of the complete movie is about 4 hours. If you know the end of the story you'll realize the ghost is a beautifil victim itself, so different music now. Released in germany last september [07] on a three DVD set.

  • Belphegor - a nice and exciting film from the 60th. If there is moreover a soundtrack (vinyl LP) of Antoine Duhamel.

Would please me about a positive answer!

  • @mrxxl369 Sorry for my delayed answer, but until today I didn't know how to answer.

This soundtrack has been made by myself. I collected all the music from the German DVD and made these soundtracks for this pictuere compilation.

    All the best, Nico

  • Scary to me now as it was over 40 years ago. I love this clip and music.

    Thank you!

  • I know the film and also have the soundtrack. But this title is absent! Where from is this quiet piece and where from this is to be got?

  • I used to watch Belphegor as a kid and it used to scare me witlless. It still looks creepy now. The mood, lighting, music and overall atmosphere are done expertly and far scarier than a lot of this modern CGI crap.

  • My first scary movie ever. And god was it scary! Never forgot it!

  • I used to follow it as a child with my Grandma, who was equally scared.

It appears that with this inflation of "series" and "telenovela" kind of productions, they sort of forgot how to entertain people on television.

The suspense in Belphegor is unforgettable. Thank you for sharing!

  • I was so scared OMG

  • I forgot to say, if it wasn't clear already, I lived in Europe then.
