In my 20s I admired Fripp most, but in my 30s I started to realize Belew was probably more of an artist. Fripp's made several huge signature contributions everything he does seems to be assignable to one of a half-dozen very rigid categories (frippertronics, GR noise, angular non-harmonic solos, etc), while Belew fluidly slips between funk and noise and anywhere in between. You can't count Belew's techniques as every phrase is a little different.d

I was never a big progressive rock fan, and to be honest, I thought the style dided out in the '70s but this is obviously the '80s by style of dress and this song is very good.

Adrian Belew is the absolute in guitarists and with Tony Levin and Bill Bruford man, you couldn't find a more talented group of musicians anywhere. Tony Levin was inspriring with David Torn but he's at his best with King Crimson.
