  • Mongoose were brought to Hawai'i in the late C19th to control rats. But rats are nocturnal & mongoose are diurnal (awake daytime). They are extremely quick & vicious if startled, hungry or feel they are cornered. My fiance's dad fed one in the 1940's on the property on Portlock Rd. Not the brightest idea. They have endangered many ground laying birds by eating their eggs & killed many cats, small dogs, chickens etc. Cute, but don't ever go near one or encourage them.

  • I hope that mongoose ate your sandwiches

  • @LatinaNegritaVi It's new zeland that has ferret-polecat(?) hybrids causing trouble. Mind, the trouble doesn't come from the ferret side.

  • ferrets r illegal in hawaii

  • @memmex1 Well I guess in the defense the description does say ferret 'looking' animal. but yeah still

  • ferrets are also illegal in Hawaii

  • @ShwongKing23 no it is not, ferrets are not wild and the only ferret that is wild is the black footed ferret, it is a yellow mongoose stupid

  • @Snoborder95 Its not a ferret!Its a mongoose!

  • Yellow Mongoose! I didn't know they had those in Hawaii.

and all the comments about them being so vicious and attacking. you're wrong

NO animal will ever attack you for no reason whatsoever or just because you're there. Look, they all ran!

animals will only attack if they're in imminent danger/cornered, you're to close to their den, or they're sick

  • @GAGAisMine142155 dont think that ferret on the ground is all that dangurest lol
