  • Nice!

  • @nemosubvoyage There are rooms sealed with glass in the show building (cave under the waterfall) behind which are dry sets with the projectors and screens. You view the scenes through water, and bubbles are occasionally pumped up to remind you that you're submerged, thus creating the illusion that the characters are swimming alongside the sub. It's clever, but it's also the reason they ask for no flash photography, as it distorts the images.

The characters are then projected onto the screens. • @hpathbp25 Well, kind of. The characters are actually projections. • Is that a "Pepper's Ghost" effect? I mean the fish.

  • Wow what camera did you use to get this kinda quality? It's amazing!

  • To think, that even now, some people still find the subs boring...

  • why's that whale eating that yellow submarine?

    classic!

  • Great video! The characters are so clear and easy to see.

PS- Does anyone know (in detail) how they project the characters?

  • I wanna riiiide! :D Heh, I loved thoes subs as a kid. In my day, we didn't have fancy CGI holograms, just still fish and bubbles and we were happy! :P
