Cosmopolitan life is enhancing our quality of living with various forms of automation to aid convenience. One of those automation is motor vehicle that facilitates us to travel around either on a self-owned basis or a fee-paying basis public form of transport. We are all familiar with the underlying impacts that these vehicles have on our living planet - increasing demand of fossil fuel, air population and greenhouse effect. But, besides those macro environmental issues, have we considered the change in cognitive behaviour of human? Urban human, nowadays, are rather cool to each other. Face to face communication is probably less than human-machine communication and sharing tends to be degrading. In view of this, I would like reiterate the benefits of "sharing", how it can help to contribute to a better living environment and to improve human physical properties in terms of health and interaction with others, as well as to contribute our best effort as being a corporate citizen.

The solution to support my theme design is "back to basic". The cornerstone of the design is "share" and "communicate", it incorporates the followings:

- the elimination of a "single driver";
- no demand for fuel;
- at affordable price; and
- always available.

It is a human powered vehicle that can accommodate 1-4 riders at a time. The vehicle is designed for commuters to travel around suburbs by having a convenient, easily accessible pick up hub such as at railway station. Besides having
recumbent styled seats for healthy and easy riding, a compartment for luggage or personal
belongings is also included to allow users to carry a maximum of 10kg luggage along.
A flexible PVC cover is mounted on top to protect riders from direct sunlight or
showers. This public transport ensures a safe, efficient and comfortable vehicle for general commuting purpose on a shared vehicle approach. The name of this public transport is called "Public Rider". It has steering on both sides, with front and tail lights, it is an ideal replacement of a car that can function 24/7.




The co-riders concept requires prior communication among the riders, co-operation along the route. The pedalling requirement forces rider to exercise while travelling. It is good for time stringent people who can perform multi-tasks at the same time.

The "Public Rider" may bring a better future for the next generation with an improved environment, be interactive, tender care for others, having a healthy and balanced life.
