Live Laugh Love- Chapter Six Part One

Recap: Ellen told Shannen she had feelings for Nick as more than a friend. Nick's girlfriend broke up with him, and Joe and Bailey are not getting married. Joe gave her a promise ring. Coming back to you? If not go read chapter 5! Enjoyy! :]

[Ellen's pov]

It's been two weeks since my little "incident" with Nick. We've been hanging out nonstop every day. I've even spent the night with hom at Shannen's a bunch. We pulled an all nighter last night, I slept pretty much the whole day away toda. It's already 5:00 p.m. Nick's still asleep right next to me. He's on my leg, it kinda hurts. I'm afraid to tell him how I feel. We've been getting along so well, I don't want our friendship to be ruined if he doesn't like me back. This is tough.

"Ellen, have you se-" Joe yelled, running into the living room. "Nick?" I asked, pointing to his limp body. "Yeah. I was going to ask if I could borrow his car. Mine won't start and Bailey and I want to go out. Will you tell him I took it when he wakes up?" he asked, keys already in hand. "Yeah sure. Can I talk to you about something quick though?" I asked, standing up from the couch. Praying I wouldn't wake Nick. He didn't move an inch. "Yeah sure." Joe said, looking down at me. "Do you know if Nick likes anyone?" I asked, crossing my fingers it would be a no. "Not that I know of. Why?" he asked, looking a bit uncomfortable. "I think I really like him. More than a friend." I said, looking over my shoulder at Nick.

[Nick's pov]

I just woke up from Joe and Ellen talking. All I heard was- "I really like him. More than a friend." I was about ready to jump up and ask her who, but then again eavesdropping was probably a better way to find out anyway. I continued to lay there, pretending to be asleep. "Aww. How cute. Why don't you tell him?" Joe asked, doing who knows what. "I'm afraid that he won't like me back. I hate rejection." Ellen explained. "I would talk to him if I were you. Nick's a good guy. I'm sure you'll be boyfriend and girlfriend in no time." Joe said, sounding happier. "Thanks Joe. I'll talk to him when he wakes up." she explained, giving him a hug. "No problem. Don't forget to tell Nick I have his car." Joe said, right before I heard the door slam. Wow. I can't believe Ellen likes me. I never thought this would happen. I gotta tell her I like her too before we both go crazy. I moved around a bit. Preparing to "wake up."

I heard her go upstairs, I knew it was safe to get up. I turned the tv on, waiting for her to come back down. I heard footsteps on the stairs about 10 minutes later. I took a deep breath and waited for Ellen to come around the corner. "Hey Nick. You're awake!" she said, coming to sit next to me on the couch. "Haha. Yeah I am." I said with a laugh. "So are we hanging out today?" she asked, smiling widely at me. "I really want to if you do. I kind of have to talk to you about something first." I explained, pushing my hand through my hair. "Oh. So do I." she said, grabbing a pillow and setting it behinid her. "You go first." I said, beginning to feel nervous. "Alright, well. There's this guy that I really like, but he has no idea. He only thinks of me as a friend which suck, but I guess that's life. I think that's how he feels anyway. I haven't really talked to him. Anyway...he means the world to me, and I don't know how to tell him how I feel, or find out how he feels about me for sure." she explained, turning away from me. "I think you just told him, and he feels the same way." I said, placing my hand in hers. "What? How'd you know it was you?" she asked, utterly confused. "I heard you tell Joe before." I explained, shrugging my shoulders. "Oh. So uhh-what do we do now?" she questioned, looking deep into my eyes. "Well I believe, since we both like each other we should go out." I explained, watching her nod her head. "Ellen, will you be my girlfriend?"
