Booting ubuntu 8.04 off of my 4 gig sd card. Ubuntu is fully installed to the SD card and is not the live cd.
I also muti-booted puppy-linux, ubuntu and xp on my eeepc, just install them to the sd cards from a desktop computer and your good to go.

  • im a newbie.. lol.

would installing ubuntu on and SD be ok, even if i have a hard drive rather than an SSD.

if i saved data, would it save on the SD or the Hard drive??

    Thanks.. :)

  • yes it is but if you have a big enough hd then id just repartition it because the write speeds to a sd card are slower then a stranded hd or ssd, and you do put it on a sd, you could save data to both the hd and the sdcard.
