In India-controlled Kashmir, house boat owners on Dal Lake in Srinagar joined widespread protests across the city on Thursday.
Police killings during earlier demonstrations have inflamed anger over the transfer of land to a Hindu shrine in this Muslim-majority region.

Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Srinagar city in protest. Police say 14 civilians and over 20 police officers were wounded in clashes.
