This video was created by the KEC TV News club for the 2012 Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida PSA contest. We won 1st place for this video. We won $1,000 to buy books for our school from Scholastic. This is the 2nd year in a row that we won 1st place in this contest.

Thanks for the kind comments. We are doing the best we can with our program. Lack of funds has made it a little difficult. Having trouble replacing some of our broken equipment and covering travel expenses to cover off campus events. We have been entering a bunch of video contests to try to win cash prizes to cover our expenses. There were a lot of sponsors helping when Damon was trying to get his interview with President Obama. Those sponsors are not around anymore.

This is a great program you got there at your school. I started subscribing after seeing Damon's great interviews during the 2008 elections. How is the program faring after the severe cuts in education in Florida? It would be great to see a video about your program: The teachers, the other kids behind camera, etc. Keep it up:D
