@johnclavis Louie is quickly becoming my favorite show on TV. Lucky Louie had some great moments, but this show is just far, far superior. All it has to do is have the consistency of Sunny, and it'll be a classic. The problem is, more people need to support it, being on FX and all. You need to watch for it to get the legs it deserves. Sunny took a few years to become popular. It really is a dark, absurd, totally uncomfortable hilarious evolution of Seinfeld, great production value too.

A hack is a comedian who uses jokes or concepts that are obvious, frequently used by others, jokes that are blatantly copied, or similarly unoriginal devices. @omgwtfitssteve i love his stand up and i think louie is good because its different and seems portray his life very well but its not that funny. i dont want cheesey jokes or laughter tracks. it reminds me a bit of the british office because it doesnt use typical attractive actors or conventional jokes or punchlines and how true to life it is except it doesnt ever create that sort of tension. you know what i mean?

Louis is funny, but he's more than that...it seems. On his show and his stand-up you can tell that he is really a craftsman. His writing and his ideas (assuming that what I see is his doing) are brilliant. I thikn that Louie could write and direct a great movie. Not just a comedy. A very compelling and original drama.

I'm not a fan of Opie and Anthony but I love Louis CK. I thought Lucky Louie was okay, wasn't great but not as bad as people were making it out out to be. But Louie is fantastic, I think the best new show of last year and that includes the Walking Dead. The fact that he was willing to take a pay cut in order to get creative control shows what an artist he is.
