@GuitarMusicTheoryTab Thanks I just might do that...I'm a big fan of learning music theory and knowing what I'm playing rather than just playing it...I think it's good for some people to know who never took music before and want to get a better idea of what's actually going on

Just so I know I'm getting it right cause I like to know what I'm playing meaning the Key, is this song or intro or whatever in the Key of A#/Bb since it's in that area?...I think you said on video somewhere it was the root....

@jet0577 Johnny B. Goode doesn't fit into any one parent major scale. In true blues fashion, it's a combination of things. The primary tonality is Bb major, but there's some minor mixed in too.

@jet0577 If you'd like to learn more about this, then go to my Guitar-Music-Theory website, click on the link for my free iTunes podcast and then listen to episode 10 (number 2 on the list) "Blues Guitar Theory."

@BlackManSlim562 Sorry about that. The blog portion of my website was hacked. It's been fixed. For the record, my mailing list and shopping cart are completely separate and secure.

The primary instruction is excellent. It is well thought out and clearly explained. I also like the way that you break the piece down into chunks.
What I don't understand is why you wasted almost two minutes of the video explaining that the 1st-2nd & 6th strings are not used only to show the first and second strings being played in the second segment. That whole thing about only using the A-D & G strings was very confusing to me. And it's not true. The 1st and 2nd strings are used a lot.

@winstonoboogiejr Sorry for the confusion. I'm referring only to the partial "E form" barre chord, not the whole intro. This lesson is used to demonstrate the CAGED chord system I teach in my book, Fretboard Theory, and DVDs.
