  • yes, it does not have power steering, uses Strange Engineering draster type rack and pinion...works very well 16:1 ratio

  • You are correct...per the Indycycle plans. They were reversed on purpose (becuase of the Indycycle brakes), but I now know that is incorrect. It only causes a large turning radius if you are doing a U turn. No problems as soon as you go over 2 MPH. Good catch. I would redo them, but it would require the entire front end to have to be rebuilt...thanks

  • Yes, you are correct, so I converted to a automotive tire in the rear. you tube Raptor Reverse Trike Update #4 to see it last Christmas...thanks

  • Is it light enough to not need power steering?

  • Hi, you are a skilled guy and I like you craftsmanship. If you don't mind me asking, I think you have the kingpin inclination the other way round and it is worth checking as it could create handling problems. Sorry for being so nosey! MC.

  • that's a limo trike!!!

  • @IIS2FAST4U Don't know if anyone got back to you on this, but Speedway Motors has everything.

  • I am building the exact same thing basically, only mine is a 1 seater. May I ask where you got the mustang II brakes and spindle, and the rack and pinion? I am having a hard time finding a manual rack and pinion

  • With this much power, you will be burning up rear tire and not have the control you could have unless you go to something non-motorcycle like a wider and flatter tire? A low-profile 50 series about a foot wide would do it! Excellent build. I look forward to the finish as I am sure you do also!
