  • G'day - at 1.20 you see the 'NUT' that large huge volcanic plug (kinda looks a little like Ayres rock) at STANLEY in Tasmania, we went past it twice on our anniversary and the beach we walked on was not far from there, in fact, in the distance on the shoreline you can see the NUT - I live about 40 minutes from there. :-)- Geez how many times did they show a kangaroo or a wallaby! We have a platypus in the creek here that is getting tamer all the time, David sees him often xxxx

  • Yeah, the wildlife variety shown is a little sparse! I especially missed seeing some BIRDS!!! But I so much enjoyed the shots of your BEAUTIFUL landscapes!

That's so awesome that you live so close to this footage and that I can just about imagine where 'your' anniversary beach is from this! How EVERYTHING is so interconnected...and not just because of YouTube even tho it helps...smile! :>)

  • thanks 4 sharing, it's always fun to see the place I work at on TV.

  • Oh my, it's such a small world after all! Just re-watched some of the videos under your 'Trowunna' channel...AND THERE YOU ARE with your 'little devils'! You must have been there when they visited to shoot this footage!?!?

  • I added a link under the Video Description to your Trowunna YouTube Channel plus a link to the Sanctuary's Website!

Best Wishes from Chicago to ALL of you!

  • I want a wombat.

  • Fantastic Video, thank you!

  • Fantastic Video, thank you!

  • @sonbuhitsunei

Your educated on some of the facts but its has the greatest bite force of any land aninmal greater then that of a hyena, due to its head shape its able to generate tremendous levels of down bite force as its jaw bones are not hinged correctly thus its able to use most of it head to push down ward.

The bite force can take off hands and feet.

  • @vsboy25 Not even close- they bite with a few hundred pounds of force, which for their size IS very impressive- as they said, that's about the bite force of a dog 4 times their size (remember, humans only bite with 120 lbs of force)...however, hyenas bite with up to 1200 lbs of force, and above all else, a large saltwater crocodile has been measured with a bite force of between 3000 and 5,000 lbs of force...but yes, they could take your finger off, you're right at that!

  • don't try this at home.

Yeah...like i have a tazmanian devil in my canadian backyard...

  • Tasmanian devils have the most powerful bite force in the world, as their entire head is designed to accommodate its bite, that guy is so lucky he had his finger still.

  • The Dare Island Enigma is a novel concerning the Tasmanian Globster that was found in the early sixties see video book trailer

  • poor little Ruby,,,,why could't she just stay in the sanctuary? She'll be chewed to shreds...alive. That was so mean to turn her loose.
