305hp Emblem depicts ESTIMATED FLYWHEEL horsepower. The actual WHEEL of the Cobalt was 268.

The GTO stock Rating is 400hp. It DYNO'D at 345 WHEEL horsepower.

The WS6 made 295 WHEEL horsepower.

It's an absolute shame that this needs to be explained to "Car Enthusiasts"

I really doubt the cobalt cost more than the gto even with the stuff he had in it. I mean come on cobalt vs GTO? GTO has a 6.0 liter v8 that cobalt had a 2.0 4 cylinder... Way to race a golf cart against a corvette...

Actually the Corvette's LS1 is documented to have more horsepower than the Camaro, Trans am's, and GTO. Then they ditched the Camaro and Trans am along with the LS1 and got the LS2 to put in the GTO. The Corvettes had defiantly made more power than the others with the LS1

just to clarify the LS2's made 435hp to the crank and 370RWHP give or take every engine is different by a few hp the LS1's make 410hp to the crank and 350RWHP but trans ams also weigh less and the ws.6's have ram air which increases hp the faster u go so there almost dead even bone stock look up what im telling you and you will se im right. 01 corvette made 350RWHP same engine same performance

Supercharged or not it wouldn't have helped, the gto may be a heavy vehicle but with a v8 it makes no difference.

The trans am I'm not gonna argue about, that would've been a good race.

But c'mon... The cobalt is playing with some big boys right here. Itll eat other 4cyls alive in it's class.

@johnnyb713456 The gto is heaver. by far. It's a completely different car then any of the trans am/camaros. and a 300hp cobalt should have shit on both of thoes its at least 1000lbs less then the gto. and about 500 less then the Trans am.
